World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who won a rematch in Jeddah by a split decision of Briton Anthony Joshua, said that he would either fight for the title of absolute champion with WBC belt holder Tyson Fury, who announced his retirement, or would not box at all

“I want to thank all those who prayed for me, said right in the ring holder of WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring magazine Alexander Usyk championship belts. – I want to thank God for the help that he gave me today, because today he gave me a lot of it. My god is Jesus Christ. Thanks Saudi Arabia! Great thank you! Inshallah!

I dedicate this fight to my country Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and everyone who defends our country. To my team, to my country - to my whole country!

Today’s fight is history. It will be watched by many generations, especially the round where they tried to beat me hard. But, thank God, I survived and turned the fight in my favor.

Tyson Fury? No, he has not retired, he wants to box with me, and my team will work in this direction. I will either box with Tyson Fury or I won’t box at all.”

“Hey Tyson, get back in the ring please. Get back in the ring!” Usyk added already in the locker room.

By the way, Fury himself was not enthusiastic about the Usyk-Joshua fight. “Just watched the fight. Both were crap. It was like a fight between heavyweight kids. Complete bullshit. Both boxers were his shit. The gypsy king will stay here forever.” declared the undefeated Briton.

Earlier reported that Briton Callum Smith effectively knocked out his opponent on the undercard of the Usyk-Joshua fight.
