15 years after 2008 iron Man When the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, there are still parts to the film that fans have never seen. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, producer Jeremy Latcham described one of the film’s unreleased deleted scenes. In the era of home video and streaming, many films will make deleted scenes available for fans to watch. However, there is one scene that is apparently so bad that the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige doesn’t want to be released.
Latcham says there are three or four deleted scenes so bad that he doesn’t think they’ll ever be released. One deleted scene involves the Ten Rings capturing Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in the beginning of the movie. The Ten Rings want Tony to build a rocket for them. According to Latcham, Tony had another job for the terrorists, which was washing their clothes. “I remember Kevin said to me in 2012 when I thought, ‘Should we take out Abu, who is doing the laundry of the deleted scenes? And Kevin said, “No. We can never force Abu to do the laundry,” Latcham said. “People will find out that we don’t know what we’re doing. It will be embarrassing if they see these scenes.” But there was a whole runner in iron Man where Tony Stark did his laundry and I don’t think they ever came out.”
In the movie, while the Ten Rings think Tony is building a rocket, instead he is actually building the first Iron Man suit with the resources he has. Later in the movie when Obadiah Stein (Jeff Bridges) gets the scientists to create a suit for him, he tells them that Tony built his suit “out of a box of scraps”. In a deleted scene, Tony is shown using the Ten Rings laundry. “Tony does laundry for kidnappers, but what he’s really doing is wrecking the washing machine and stealing parts to build the Mark 1 suit,” Letcham said. “It’s so absurd. It’s wild.”
Heritage iron Man 15 years later
First iron Man the film launched a universe that has been around for 15 years. The post-credits scene made the movie part of the larger universe where Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) told Tony about the Avengers Initiative. A few months later, Tony appeared in a post-credits scene for the second MCU movie. The incredible Hulk. Through Infinity Saga, Tony has been one of the key characters in the franchise, especially as a member of the Avengers. Even after his death in 2019 Avengers: Endgamesuch characters Tom HollandSpider-Man/Peter Parker tried to continue Tony Stark’s legacy.
