In accordance with Article 43 of the Law of Ukraine “On pensions for persons discharged from military service and members of their families”, pensions to persons from among military personnel (except military servicemen) of ordinary, sergeant, foreman and officer personnel, persons entitled to a pension for this The law and members of their families are calculated from the amount of monetary allowance, taking into account the corresponding salaries for the position, salaries and / or additional payments for military (special) rank, military (special) rank, percentage allowance (additional payment) for length of service, monthly additional types of monetary support ( allowances, surcharges, increases) and bonuses in the amounts established by the legislation, from which a single contribution for obligatory state social insurance was paid, and until January 1, 2011 - insurance premiums for obligatory state pension insurance, in the manner established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, writes ArmyInform.

The payment of additional remuneration provided for by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 28, 2022 No. 168 “Issues of certain payments to military personnel, private and commanding personnel, police officers and their families during martial law”, is established for the period of martial law and is paid in amounts per month in proportion to the time of participation in specific actions and events, that is, it is not permanent, therefore it is not included in the monetary allowance of a serviceman for calculating a pension.
