If you’re a fan of spy shows with extensive government conspiracies, then the latest Netflix series, Night agent certainly worth a look. If you heed this kind advice, you will join the streamer’s sizable number of followers who have seen and followed the story of the FBI agent answering the phone that never rings. Traction carried out Night agent the series, which debuted on Netflix on March 23, was ranked #1 in the English language viewing chart for the streamer.
Based on the novel of the same name Matthew Quirk and created Sean Ryan, Night agent after its first week on the streamer, it managed to rack up a total of 168.7 million hours watched as the series ranked in the top ten in 93 countries. Showcased by the spy thriller in its debut week, this show of dominance is the third best week of season 1 TV premieres for any original Netflix. The appearance of the series also meant that You Season 4, which was number one last week, dropped to number three with 30 million hours watched.
Night agent follows a story by Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), a young FBI agent haunted by his father’s treacherous past, who, along with Rose Larkin, becomes involved in a high-level government conspiracy (Luchan Buchanan), who sees her uncle and aunt killed while trying to expose the plot. Other projects that performed well on Netflix this week
Between the first and third positions in the charts of this week is the second season Shadow and bone. The fantasy series, which hit 50 million hours last week, hit 55 million hours this week. This ensured that Shadow and bone again held on to second place. Korean thriller on non-English charts Glory For the third week in a row, it leads the standings with 48.3 million views. For the third week in a row Luther: Fallen Sun starring Idris Elba And Andy Serkis continued to be at the top of the English-language film charts with 24.7 million hours watched.
