Netflix has officially announced the release date for its webtoon adaptation. Black Knight. Based on the critically acclaimed series delivery knight To lee yoongyun, the Korean drama will tell the story of couriers known as the titular black knights in a dystopian, polluted world tasked with delivering necessities to those in need. With a new poster that creates a dull and suffocating landscape, the streamer revealed that the series will hit viewers on May 12.
Black Knight specifically follows the legendary Delivery Man and Knight 5-8, whose exploits are known throughout the land and who inspires young survivors to grow up to become knights. However, the world they live in is far from inspiring. Not only is the world a polluted mess, but those who live in it are subject to a strict social hierarchy that keeps them in check. Kim Woo Bin leads the star-studded Korean cast at number 5-8, and from the sound of it, he’s had fun on the set of a raucous new series for Netflix. “I felt great happiness during the filming of this series, and I sincerely hope that our joint efforts will resonate with the audience, and they will also enjoy every moment, like me,” he said of the project.
The poster shows the legendary 5-8 Wubin arriving to deliver an important package amidst a storm of dust and other pollutants. With a ruined city behind him, he stands out as a beacon of hope for all who still live in a ruined world, his number clearly visible on both his hat and his delivery truck. It has a particularly important package for anyone who wants to see the adaptation, as the box has a release date. As for what’s inside, the “Oxygen Has Been Delivered” slogan teases that even what we take for granted in our lives remains in the hands of couriers.
Starring with Woo Bin Song Seung Hunwho plays the sole heir of Chunmyung Group, Kang Yoo-seokwho portrays one of the boys who idolize 5-8, and Isom, who plays a major in the Defense Intelligence Agency. Black Knight It appears to be Netflix’s next big Korean hit after a string of outstanding streamer successes. Everyone knows the world hit that was squid gamebut another series recently managed to take off on the charts itself - Glory. On Netflix’s most watched list, the second part of the revenge drama managed to hold onto the top spot with a staggering 123.59 hours watched in its second week. Between its cast and its breathtakingly adapted premise, Black Knight fans are looking forward to appearing on the streamer in the near future.
