An extraordinary discovery was made in a famous grocery store. A well-camouflaged, shy gecko was waiting for buyers. Sitting still, he blended in color with the cabbage leaves. An unusual fact was reported by the Krakow Society for the Protection of Animals.
For one of the clients of a well-known retail chain, these purchases were no different from other purchases made on other days. It turned out that the woman witnessed an unusual discovery. It started with reaching for cabbage, and ended with a meeting with a gecko. This unusual adventure was reported by the Krakow Society for the Protection of Animals. This is not the first time that the inspectors are considering such a case.

A gecko found in cabbage in one of the famous stores is another proof that exotic animals love to visit our country. It happens that they accidentally carry large batches of fruits or vegetables. So it was, for example. in the case of another gecko that came to us by truck. This time it was a little different, but just as amazing.
The Krakow Animal Care Society was quick to brag about this fact on their Facebook profile. There are also photographs of an unusual guest. Fortunately, the whole situation ended happily for the gecko. It is known that he was handed over to investigators and found safe accommodation.
Finding a gecko in cabbage is not so scary
While some people think that encountering a gecko hidden in cabbage straight from the store can be a terrifying experience, it turns out you don’t need to be too afraid of such situations. Since we already know that this is possible, it is helpful to know how to respond when this happens to us. The client, who had contact with the animal, immediately asked for appropriate assistance - she contacted the office of the KTOZ on Florianska in Krakow.
After a quick reaction from a woman who discovered the gecko in the cabbage, the animal was quickly moved to a safe place - first to a temporary home, then to a permanent guardian. It turned out that the animal, only a few centimeters long, did not cause any problems and quickly acclimatized to the new environment.

It is worth noting that the situation with the gecko in the cabbage is reminiscent of the story of the iguana, which allegedly visited one of the Krakow microdistricts in 2021. At this time, the aforementioned KTOZ also came into play, which was supposed to calm the frightened residents. After one of the women reported seeing a “lagoon” in a tree, the same inspectors intervened. Then instead of a real pet, a croissant was found.
