“Teapots” in the country: five vegetables that even a novice gardener can grow

Must read

Sometimes summer residents complain about the difficulty in growing certain vegetable crops in their garden - as a rule, they need to feed in a timely manner, form a crown and do not forget about pest control. However, the Telegram channel “Dachnik” knows what unpretentious vegetables are easy to grow even for a beginner.

Horseradish

It is a perennial, grows on any soil, loves the shade, grows rapidly from the rhizome. Ukrainians widely use horseradish for cooking snacks and canning.

Rhubarb

It grows well in the shade and propagates by simple division of the bush. If your dacha neighbors grow rhubarb, ask for part of the root. Rhubarb grown from the root is more likely to get stronger. You can use rhubarb both for making compotes and jams, and for baking.

Leafy salads

No tricks with planting and care: you just need to mark the grooves, shed the soil, scatter the seeds, sprinkle them with soil and wait for the shoots. And the result will delight the family all summer.

Beet

Perhaps, of all the root crops, only the cultivation of beets does not cause much difficulty. The only thing that beets do not like is acidic soils. But this problem is easily solved. By the way, culinary specialists use not only beet roots, but also its “cream”, i.e. tops.

vegetable marrow

All that zucchini needs for stable fruiting is a sunny place, warm weather and the absence of prolonged rains. A couple of bushy squash for a family of four is enough for the eyes.

Recall that many different dishes can be prepared from zucchini - from ordinary pancakes to exquisite French pie.
