In Transcarpathia, where border violators are often detained, border guards found a group of 8 men who were trying to illegally enter Romania.
Some of them were going to conquer the mountains, and the other – to sail through the Tisza, said the State Border Service.
Wetsuits and car cameras should help them overcome the cold current of the river.
Border guards add that only recently in Transcarpathia they chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of 60 days for two defendants detained near Uzhgorod. At the same time, they are provided with the possibility of making a deposit – more than 80 thousand hryvnias for one and more than 107 thousand hryvnias for another. The detainees helped two residents of Zaporozhye illegally cross the border and tried to escape during the detention.
Recall that in December 2022, one of the six citizens of Ukraine who illegally crossed the state border was found dead in Romania. The Ukrainians, who did not have warm clothes and appropriate equipment, got lost in the mountains, and one of them received numerous fractures and a closed head injury in the mountains.
