Lechia Gdansk announced the termination of cooperation with coach Marcin Kaczmarek. An official notice has been issued.
In recent weeks, PKO VR Ekstraklasa has been dealing with massive layoffs of coaches. Recently, Barstosz Gaul said goodbye to his job, who was replaced at Górnik Zabrze by Jan Urban, who returned to this position. There were also changes at Stal Mielec, where, due to the lack of victories, coach Adam Majewski was thanked for his cooperation. This time, the changes took place in the north, namely in Gdansk.
Marcin Kaczmarek is no longer Lechia Gdansk manager
Marcin Kaczmarek took over Lechia Gdańsk in September 2022. In 16 PKO BP Ekstraklasa meetings, he won six times, drew twice and lost eight times. Due to the fact that the players from Gdansk under the control of the Pole occupy only the penultimate place in the standings with 25 points on their account, the club’s management decided to thank him for his cooperation. It is not yet known who will take his place. As reported, we will soon meet a new coach.
“Lechia Gdansk has decided to terminate cooperation with coach Marcin Kaczmarek and other members of the coaching staff. We thank you for your work at the club and wish you good luck in your future career. We will announce further decisions in the near future.
Confusion in the ranks of Lechia Gdansk
What is worth emphasizing is the fact that just a few days ago the Lechia Gdansk authorities announced via Twitter that the first team had met with Adam Mandziara, Arkadiusz Gerwel, Piotr Zeer and Dariusz Krawczyk. Matters regarding the future of the club were discussed at the time, and the same announcement stated that the staff and team had received their full support. Three days later Marcin Kaczmarek was released.
