Disney just released a new trailer elemental, the next film from Pixar Animation. Disney and Pixar’s new take on the story of Fire and Ice will premiere in theaters just before Father’s Day weekend on June 16, following on from something other than animated impersonations of the two elements, fire and water.
Story elemental takes the phrase “opposites attract” to a new level. Set in Element City, a bustling metropolis where people made up of Water, Earth, Fire and Air live together, we follow the budding relationship between Wade Ripple and Amber Lumen who are Water and Fire respectively. In an interview with Collider back in November 2022, director Peter Son touched on what unites these two characters, and said:
It’s kind of funny because they’re such complete opposites. The Venn diagram of what binds the two of them is universal for all of us, in terms of being vulnerable and seeing each other for the first time. Why they fall in love is in this Venn diagram. I don’t want to spoil anything from the movie, so the best I can say is that it’s a thin window of general [commonalities] for them.
Mamudu Ati (Jurassic World: Dominion, Archive 81) will make his voice acting debut in the new film as Wade with Leah Lewis (half of it, Nancy Drew) to voice Amber.
Team working on elemental
elemental was first announced by Pixar back in May 2022 and is directed by Peter Sohn, who has worked in Pixar’s art department on some of the studio’s most beloved films, such as Finding Nemo And incredible, and also voiced several studio characters, including Remy’s brother Emile in Ratatouille. He made his feature film directorial debut back in 2015. good dinosaur. Film script written Brenda Xuewho has previous credits for series such as How I Met your mother And In truth. Pete Doctorwriter for Inside out, Up, Soul, And wall-e, will serve as an executive producer on the film. Son will also be producing the project along with Denise Rome (Up, Cars 2, Toy Story 4).
