On the proposal of the government, the Education Committee of the Parliament today, March 21, supported the candidacy of Oksen Lisovoy for the post of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. The decisions were taken unanimously.
This was announced by the head of the subcommittee on higher education Yulia Grishina.
“The Education Committee of the Verkhovna Rada has just supported the appointment of Oksen Lesnoy as Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. Unanimously”, she said.
It should be noted that since June 2010 Oksen Lesnoy has been the director of the National Center “Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been fighting as a volunteer in the 95th Brigade of the Airborne Forces and continues to act as director of the MAS.
Recall that on March 20, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed former Minister of Education Sergei Shkarlet. In addition, the Parliament dismissed Pavel Ryabikin from the post of Minister for Strategic Industries, and Mikhail Fedorov from the post of Minister of Digital Transformation. At the same time, candidates have already been submitted to the Rada for the appointment of Fedorov as Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Kamyshin - for the position of Minister for Strategic Industries.
