Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will team up again in a new animated film. New movie trailer released Justice League: World War, the latest installment in Warner Bros.’ line of original DC Universe animated films. Animation. A digital and Blu-ray release is scheduled for the summer.
The trailer shows three characters in three different worlds, set in different time periods. Amazing Woman (Stana Katic) is shown in a world set in the old west. She also meets DC Comics character John Hex (Troy Baker). Superman (Darren Criss) is featured as Clark Kent in the film noir world. Clark is shown to be working with the police to stop a group of attacking aliens. Batman (jensen) is shown in an ancient world filled with monsters. The Dark Knight is shown wearing a new costume that looks more like gladiator armor than a supersuit. Instead of relying on his gadgets, Batman fights with a sword. The trailer ends with the trio being told they are on Warworld, a planet that thrives on brutal gladiatorial combat.
In the film, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman must unite a resistance capable of freeing the entire planet. Violent planet previously featured in Justice League animated series. In the two-part episode “World of War”, Superman (George Newbern) was captured and forced to fight for the entertainment of the planet by the alien Mongul (Eric Roberts). Before Superman was captured, the planet’s fighting champion was the alien Draaga (William Smith).
Justice League: World War is part of the shared DC Universe
Justice League: World War is the last part of the animated universe known as the Tomorrowverse. Universe started from 2020s Superman: Man of Tomorrow, which introduced the Criss version of Superman. Ackles’ version of Batman was featured in a 2021 two-part film. Batman: The Long Halloweenwhich was based on the cult comic book series Jeff Loeb And Tim Sale.
Katic previously voiced Wonder Woman in the film Tomorrowverse. Justice Society: World War II. However, it was later revealed that the Wonder Woman in this movie was from Earth-2. Although it will be the first Justice League The film takes place in the universe, there have already been several crossovers. At the end Batman: The Long Halloween, Green Arrow and the Flash went to Wayne Manor to find Batman. Both Batman and Superman appeared in the previous Tomorrowverse movie. Legion of Superheroes.
