The film tells about the antics of the evil and sorceress Sanderson sisters, who were played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica ParkerAnd Cathy Najimy. Three witches are executed in Salem in 1693, but a spell is cast to ensure their eventual return. In 1993, a group of hapless children accidentally bring the sisters back to life, and they have to fight all Halloween night to bring the sisters back to their graves.
The second film brought the three original Sanderson sisters back to life with the return of Midler, Parker and Najimy and expanded their knowledge. The new cast of teenagers are forced to confront the Sanderson sisters as well as their own interpersonal conflicts. A third film was hinted at during a post-credits scene in the sequel. And now, thanks to Bailey’s announcement, this looks like a sure sign that we’ll be getting some more Salem magic in the near future.
