Now, with fans back in Spider-Verse, the SH Figuarts action figure for Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 is open for pre-order.
The 7-inch figure based on the movie features Spider-Man 2099 in a sleek cinematic version of his classic comic book suit. It is fully articulated and comes with a full web of accessories. This includes web effects, an alternate unmasked Miguel head sculpt, the character’s signature red cape, interchangeable hands, an alternate neck piece, and a Spider Society bracelet. The figurine will cost $134.99.
Spiderman 2099: friend or foe?
While Spider-Man 2099 has been in comics for over 30 years and has become popular through video games such as Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions And Spider-Man: At the Edge of Time, Through the universes of spiders this is the first real acquaintance of the mass audience with the hero. The movie’s Spider-Man 2099 was as complex and tragic as most of the mainstream Spider-Men that made up this emotional epic. However, with the weight of the leadership of the Spider Society on his shoulders, there was something particularly dark about this particular mission of Spider-Man. Without getting into spoilers, 2099’s backstory was very reminiscent of another Marvel anti-hero-turned-villain, Scarlet Witch. It made the character’s quest understandable and how his own mistakes affect Miles Morales’ path to Beyond the Spider-Versewill make any Marvel fan tremble. Especially given the brilliant emotional anguish Oscar Isaac behind the voice of 2099.
When Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Release?
Bye Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse going to enjoy a long and healthy theatrical run, moviegoers can’t wait to see what lies behind the Spider-Verse. Fans don’t have to wait too long for this trilogy. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse comes out March 29, 2024. This is less than a year later.
