David Gordon Green conjures up some excellence in behind-the-scenes footage for Exorcist: Faithful. Hoping to attract viewers to continue the story that first came down to us in 1973 through William Peter Blattyfilm that won an Oscar exorcist, picture shows pensive Green, leaning over a religious symbol painted on the floor. Behind him, we see a simple wooden table and chair crammed with the director, presumably contemplating the next scene.
While it’s not a big sale, it’s the first image we’ve seen when it comes to anything related to the next chapter of Green’s story. Rather than remake or discard an unrelated story, the filmmaker chose to pay homage to Blatty’s award-winning original film adaptation and continue the groundbreaking story made famous by Ellen Burstyn And Linda Blair. While the first film focused on the sole possession of Blair’s character, Regan MacNeil, Green will double down on demonic horror with a sinister entity finding a home in two different girls.
IN Exorcist: Faithful, Leslie Odom Jr.X (Hamilton) the character will seek help from Chris McNeil of Burstyn after his daughter was possessed by a demon. Finding strength in numbers and support from other people facing the same affliction, the mother played by Jennifer Nettles (righteous gems) joins a desperate father with the duo teaming up to take on the devil with the help of the McNeils’ expert advice. Daughters will play Lydia Jewett (Good girls) And Olivia Marcum with an ensemble including Ann Dowd (Hereditary), Okwui Okpokvasili (Madeleine Madeline), And Raphael Sbarge (A long time ago).

Hot from his super-successful sequel John CarpenterX halloween, Greene will spearhead this horrifying story, which he intends to turn into another trilogy. This is indeed a collaborative affair, as the next chapter in Exorcist will see how Green writes the script of the film with him. Scott Tims And Danny McBridewith whom he worked on his halloween trilogy. After pairing on the above halloween movies, Jason Blume returned with Green to produce titles along with James Robinson, David RobinsonMcBride and Cooper Samuelson.
