AMC+ has set a premiere date for the critically acclaimed crime drama. happy valleythird and final season. Fans of the British crime drama will be able to join the ferocious Sergeant Katherine Cawood (Sara Lancashire) on her investigation when the season starts on Monday, May 22. happy valley The third season will be available exclusively on Acorn TV, AMC+ and BBC America, with new episodes released weekly.
happy valley the third season was announced to be renewed in October 2021 after a six-year hiatus. It was also announced that the season, which began filming in 2022, will feature six episodes in which Cawood reunites with his nemesis Tommy Lee (James Norton) who is in jail. Show Creator Sally Wainwright (Gentleman Jack) was also teased that the season would follow the sergeant as she discovers the remains of a gangland murder victim.
The final season will also follow a series of events triggered by the discovery of the remains found by Kawood. This discovery will also cause Kawood’s renewed interactions with Lee, who is a murderer and rapist and the father of Kawood’s grandson, Ryan (Rice Conna). The season will also focus on Ryan, now sixteen, as he struggles to come to terms with having a biological father who raped his mother and is also in jail dealing with his grandmother’s relationship with his father. The six-episode season will also feature Claire Cartwright (Siobhan Finneran) to return as the devoted sister of Kawud.

On Acorn TV, season 1 is now available to watch, and season 2 will be available on Monday, April 3rd. You can watch season 1 marathon on BBC America from Monday 8th May to Wednesday 10th May. 11:00 PM ET/PT consecutively. The second season will air from Monday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 17, simultaneously for two consecutive episodes. Both seasons are also available to watch on AMC+.
