Sam RaimiX The Spider-Man Trilogy returns to Netflix this April after leaving the streamer for several months this year, according to What’s on Netflix. It’s been speculated for a while that the trilogy could end up on Disney+ alongside other Marvel superheroes, but for now, Netflix seems to be the webmaster’s permanent home.
While Disney+ is home to all of the MCU’s superheroes, Spider-Man’s rights are owned by Sony, so all films, including Tom Hollandthe trilogy found a spot on Netflix. The streamer has also been used for Netflix Marvel features such as daredevil, Jessica Jones, iron fist, Luke Cage, Chastener, And Defenders but when the licensing deal ended, the fan-favorite series landed on Disney+. The only character currently getting their own series is Charlie CoxDevil of Hell’s Kitchen, who will be seen in the 18-episode series Daredevil: Rebornalong with Cox, the series returns Vincent D’Onofriothief in law and John BrenthalChastener.

Raimi’s Spider-Man films are often credited with ushering in the modern era of superheroes, the trilogy with Tobey Maguire in Lead fell in love with fans and defined a lifestyle for a whole generation. The film has solid performers, including the likes of Willem Dafoe like Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, J.K. Simmons portrays J. John Jameson, Kirsten Dunst like Mary Jane Alfred Molina as Doctor Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus, Thomas Hayden Church like Flint Marco/Sandman among others.
However, given that Sony had some problems behind the scenes, the fourth film in the franchise was canceled and The Incredible Spiderman trilogy was announced with Mark Webb at the helm and Andrew Garfield as a new web slinger. However, after creating the two features, Sony dropped them, opting to share the rights with Marvel Studios. In 2016, Holland was introduced as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, and immediately became a favorite of the young public. Holland’s version of the Web has had quite a few adventures in the MCU and has been part of the Avengers facing the big bad Thanos as well as creating their own trilogy. Given that the MCU was supposed to represent the multiverse, in Spiderman: No Way HomeGarfield and Maguire were brought back as variants of Peter Parker, making them part of the MCU multiverse.
