Collider can exclusively share a new music video for old wayfirst western in Nicolas Cagefruitful career. In the film, Cage plays an ex-shooter who is forced to revert to his old violent habits and brings his daughter (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) let’s hit the road.
old way follows Cage as Colton Briggs, a retired gunslinger turned family man. Unfortunately for Colton, his fate is not yet over, and he is forced to take up pistols after a group of criminals kill his wife. However, revenge for him will not be so easy, because Colton is now the father of a young girl. Briefly, old way reinterprets the classic western revenge story by having Cage play a man who multitasks between revenge and raising his daughter.
In the exclusive video, Colton and his daughter grabbed three armed men. The men are beaten and bloodied, and it looks like they lost a brutal fight with the shooter. Colton begins to disarm the men and orders his daughter to bring the shotgun. The owner of the weapon tries to fight back and threatens to shoot the girl, hoping to get Colton to let them go. Unfortunately for the prisoner, Colton taught his daughter to be just as vicious as her father. The girl steps on the man’s foot, grabbing his shotgun and hurting him.
The exclusive clip also teases the brutality of Cage’s first western. The film is rated R for gore, which means old way there will be many more bloody fights. It looks like the film will capture all the brutality and darkness we associate with the Old West, where people were forced to use whatever means necessary to survive. Sounds like an exciting experiment for Cage to build new acting muscles.
