Memoirs of Prince Harry will be published in a few days. In them, he allegedly attacked his brother with accusations. Royal experts see no chance for reconciliation.
Since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan announced their retirement from the Crown in early 2020 and moved the center of their lives to the US, relations within the royal family have been seen as tense. But long before that, there were tensions between Prince William and his brother, as they say. In the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Jr revealed in 2019 that he and William were on “separate paths”. And in the Netflix series Harry and Meghan, released in December, he also repeatedly lashed out at the elder. Harry talks about “institutional manipulation” and accuses: “They lied to protect my brother.”
Nevertheless, there has never been an official break between them - until now. Harry’s latest revelations could kill the final wedge between him and William. The memoir will be published on January 10, and the title hints at who will star in the book: “spare” refers to the common British expression “heir and spare.” An obvious allusion to William, the heir to the throne, and Harry, who for the public has always been in his shadow.
The name for his biography, which is called Spare, which means “Spare”, the prince chose himself. Thus, he finally consolidates the derogatory name that he was called all his life, especially by the British press, writes journalist Omid Scobie, who specializes in the royal family, in his column.
In the book, Harry is said to fire certain “shots” towards William. Royal experts are sure: “Spare” will destroy their relationship forever.
