After Sunday’s Season 5 Midseason Finale yellowstone, you must be itching to get your hands on a physical copy of the first batch of episodes and learn all about the production. So, you’ll be happy to know that Paramount Home Entertainment has announced a DVD and Blu-ray release on May 9, which you can pre-order now. To show what’s in the special, Paramount shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip with Collider.
The video has the star of the series Cole Hauser celebrating some of the great moments he got to see and experience in Season 5. The actor defended Beth’s love (Kelly Reilly) and Rip as they worked on their relationship, and he also added that playing this storyline greatly improved his friendship with co-star Reilly as they worked on their scenes together. Reilly also chimed in to talk about how the first part of season five unfolded:
“What’s great is to come back [to the flashbacks] we understand them more when we play because we go deeper into their history. Season 5 reveals things we didn’t know about when they were teenagers. So we keep discovering things about them that Taylor [Sheridan, showrunner] created.”

The neo-western follows the life of a family that owns a huge livestock farm and uses their power and influence to maintain their territorial holdings. Show creator, Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan, also developed a series of spin-offs that expand on the history of the Dutton family over the centuries, and each individual game has been a huge success with the public. Apart from 1883whose future Sheridan recently revealed that he accidentally ruined, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren-vel 1923 is also currently on the air and receiving critical and public acclaim.
