Recently, Netflix has established itself as a streaming service for reality shows. With popular Netflix series like A circle, Moleand Too hot to hold fans of the genre have never been happier. Now, the service has released a trailer for its next hit competition. pressure cooker.
pressure cooker will be the first of its kind reality cooking competition. It will mix the culinary elements and challenges of series such as Chef and Hell’s Kitchen with voting mechanics and series strategy like survivor and Big Brother. Eleven professional chefs will be locked in a “fortress” to live together and compete to prove they have what it takes to survive in the culinary world. However, unlike most shows of this type, the food will not be judged by a panel of judges, but by each other. It’s not enough to just be the best cook, they’ll also need to forge alliances, backstab and do whatever it takes to win.
The trailer teases the eleven chefs who enter the house expecting the usual cooking show but find out much more. It seems almost immediately that lines begin to be drawn in the sand as the drama and tension builds. Are cooks saved in the alliances they have made? Are they aimed primarily at top chefs? Or maybe chefs who don’t deserve to be there? Since they are all fighting for $100,000, the pressure has never been higher.

In this first-ever culinary competition, 11 professional chefs must prove that they have all the qualities required to succeed in the real culinary world. Locked together in a kitchen fortress, our group of self-confident chefs will cook, sleep and coexist with their rivals for weeks. And if that wasn’t enough, they’ll also need a strategy to balance the impact on their peers while watching their own backs…because there’s no judging panel in a pressure cooker. Chefs judge each other. It’s a high-stakes search for the best chef.
