Today is the deadline for applying for the Good Start program. Parents and guardians can apply for an allowance in the amount of PLN 300 for a school kit for a child.
- I remind you that until the end of November you can apply for a benefit under the Good Start program, and the procedure itself is very simple, applications can only be submitted electronically. - emphasizes the Minister for Family Affairs and Social Policy Marlena Malong in a statement issued by the Ministry.
300 plus. Who can benefit?
The Good Start program was launched in 2018. It provides support in the amount of PLN 300 per school starter kit (which is why the program is also known as 300 plus) Parents or guardians of students aged 7 to 20 are entitled to benefit, and in case disabled student - up to 24 years. As with the 500 plus program, no income criterion applies.
A parent, legal guardian of a child, or de facto guardian may apply for benefits. An application for a benefit for children in foster families is submitted by a foster parent, a person in charge of a family orphanage, or the director of an educational institution.

From 14 November. Applications can also be submitted using the mZUS mobile app.
As part of the Good Start program, the Social Security Institution (ZUS) has already paid out almost 4.5 million benefits, which means that the vast majority of eligible people have benefited from it. In total, more than PLN 1.3 billion was paid out. ZUS transfers funds to the bank account specified in the Decisions, and notifications are provided electronically.
