The fifth generation Lexus RX debuted in Poland in early 2023. The car is available for the first time in three hybrid variants.
According to Lexus, the most powerful version of the RX 500h is very popular with buyers. 30 percent of buyers choose this powertrain with a total output of 371 hp, which is available in two trim levels F Sport Edition and F Sport. The F Sport Edition comes standard with AVS adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering, a full-color 10-inch head-up display, Nanoe X air conditioning and BladeScan triple LED headlights.
The F Sport trim adds ventilated rear seats, a 360-degree rear view camera, a power liftgate, a digital rearview mirror, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, and an advanced safety package.
Seen from a distance
On the outside, the RX 500h features, among others, F Sport badges, black roof rails and rear view mirrors, a redesigned black front grille, special side skirts and aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. The car also has 21-inch 10-spoke wheels specially designed for this version.
F White and Sapphire Blue are reserved for the RX 500h, while Sonic Grey, Sonic Platinum, Graphite Black and Sonic Copper are also available. The interior is trimmed with natural leather with leatherette elements in Black and Dark Rose colors, black roof lining and aluminum inserts.
The most sought after models are the RX 500h in Graphite Black, Sonic Gray and F White. 54 percent of customers choose black upholstery.
Transmission and chassis Lexus RX 500h
The RX 500h has an innovative hybrid drive system that uses a 2.4 turbocharged engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The total output of the RX 500h is 371 hp. and is transmitted to all four wheels using the new Direct4 drive system. It is an intelligent system that adjusts power and torque between axles based on road conditions, providing better handling, improved handling at higher speeds and helping to reduce body roll during acceleration and deceleration.
The RX 500h comes standard with AVS adaptive suspension, dynamic rear steering and a high-performance braking system with 400mm ventilated front discs and fixed opposed-piston calipers painted black and marked with the Lexus logo.
