According to preliminary data, the Rashists launched the Shahed munitions across the capital in several waves with short intervals between attacks. According to the head of the capital’s military administration, with such tactics, the aggressor country is trying to deplete our air defense, as well as psychologically influence the civilian population.

“All detected air targets moving in the direction of Kyiv were destroyed by the forces and means of our air defense. Attacks on Kyiv are not allowed!” he added.

But in Krivoy Rog there were arrivals - the enemy hit a private industrial enterprise. A 64-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized in critical condition.

“There is significant destruction of workshops, destroyed equipment. Several buildings immediately took over. In one of them, rescuers are still tame the fire. Because of the enemy attack, a fire also broke out in the four-story administrative building. She’s already been put out. A 45-year-old man received minor injuries. According to the Air Force, on the night of May 19, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the northern and southeastern directions with Shahed-136/131 attack drones and Kalibr cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea. Launches of 22 “shaheeds” and six “Caliber” were recorded.

The forces and means of air defense of the air commands “Center”, “West” and “South” of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three cruise missiles and 16 strike drones.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the enemy launched 39 missile and 39 air strikes, as well as 50 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

The enemy continues to concentrate his main efforts on the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions - over the past 24 hours there have been 29 combat clashes in these sectors of the front. The hottest battles are fought for Bakhmut and Marinka.

• In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. There are heavy battles for the city of Bakhmut. In addition, over the past day, the enemy has conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of the settlement of Ivanovskoye.

• In the Avdeevka direction, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the direction of the settlements of Severnoye and Pervomayskoye, but had no success.

• In the Maryinsky direction, units of the defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of ​​​​the city of Maryinka, as well as an attack in the direction of Novomikhailovka. At the same time, the enemy continues to destroy settlements along the line of confrontation.

• In the Limansky and Shakhtyorsky directions, the enemy did not carry out offensive operations over the past day. In the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations.

Aviation of the Defense Forces over the past 24 hours inflicted 7 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy. Missile troops and artillery units hit the area where weapons and military equipment were concentrated, the composition of ammunition, 3 artillery units in firing positions, an enemy anti-aircraft missile system, 7 radio-electronic combat stations and a radar station.
