Rita Ora performed her hit Anywhere along with the Ukrainian dancer Sophia, a refugee who left for Britain at the beginning of the war. The Ukrainian tragedy is close to the singer. Since she herself became a refugee in Britain, she was forced to leave the former Yugoslavia with her family.

“Sofia opens my performance this evening with a ball game, symbolizing the loss of childhood for these poor refugees. I hope this great song contest will open hearts in Europe and the world. We love you Ukraine, we all perform tonight for you”– wrote Rita Ora on Twitter.

Also in the semi-finals, Alyosha and Rebecca Ferguson were struck by a powerful performance about the war in Ukraine.

Recall that the second semi-final will take place on May 11, and the final show on May 13. The Ukrainian group TVORCHI automatically entered the final as a representative of the winning country.
