Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko attended the parade in Moscow on May 9. The so-called Victory Parade this year turned out to be the most modest during the entire reign of Vladimir Putin. The only tank that passed through Red Square was the T-34. Usually, at the May 9 parade, the Russian military tends to show off new equipment and recently put into service. This time there were not only no tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, but there were no more than 8 thousand participants. On foot, only 26 ceremonial calculations were presented. A year ago it was 34.
However, not only the modesty of the parade attracted media attention. Journalists noted that the Belarusian ruler could not walk 300 meters to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall.
After the parade, Putin and the leaders of the CIS countries came to lay flowers there - President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzioev, President of Turkmenistan Ardar Berdimuhamedov and the Prime Minister.
Lukashenka arrived in the Alexander Garden on electric cars. There he approached Putin and, judging by his facial expressions and gestures, asked him for something.
The Russian president clarified something with him, and then gave a sign to his bodyguards. After that, Lukashenka disappeared from the frame. He reappeared, but in the background, as the guard led him to the security electric vehicle.
Belarusian media reports that Lukashenka did not stay for lunch after the parade, but quickly returned to Minsk. At the same time, a bandage was seen on his arm. There is also a “bleak look on the podium and during a personal meeting with Putin.”
Belarusian political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets claims that Lukashenka arrived at the airport accompanied by an ambulance. In the evening in Minsk, he was supposed to give a speech on Victory Square, but for the first time in 29 years he was unable to speak on May 9. The report was read by the Minister of Defense.
“It is reported that against the background of Lukashenka’s sudden illness, heart problems arose again. A few years ago, he suffered a heart attack on his legs, ” Bolkunets said.
Earlier, Lukashenka explained why Belarusians need nuclear weapons, which Russia promises to supply.
