In Ukraine, where earlier they warned about the reduction of the amount of housing subsidies, it is planned to improve the mechanism for their assignment. In particular, they will personally notify the person if he is eligible for a subsidy. This was stated Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovich on the air of Ukrainian radio.
“We are planning to simplify and further digitalize our social benefits, and we will start with subsidies, because this is a fairly massive assistance – 2.2 million households”- emphasized the official.
According to her, the number of registries that will provide information to the Pension Fund, including on the income of citizens, will increase. Thanks to this, it will be possible to automatically determine the right of a person to an allowance for payment of housing and communal services before he applies for the appointment of such payments.
“We will be able to say: you are eligible for a subsidy. We see that you have five family members living together, here are your incomes - we made such an exchange, such a verification. Your utility bills are more than your income as a percentage - we can offer you such help”Zholnovich said.
After that, the person will be able to decide whether he needs a housing subsidy and confirm the application or not. A package of documents for it will be formed.
They plan to report the right to a subsidy through the Action mobile application, a personal account on the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund or SMS messages. In the first two cases, a person will be able to confirm the submission of an application for assistance online, in the latter, he will need to contact the TsNAP, the PFU service center or authorized local authorities to apply for a subsidy.
