Raped and strangled because of a statement to the police: in the Poltava region, the husband brutally cracked down on his wife

In the Poltava region, a resident of the Mirgorodsky district was sentenced to life imprisonment for rape and murder of his wife - this event took place in the summer of 2021.

According to the regional prosecutor’s office, a 29-year-old resident of the Mirgorodsky district was found guilty of several facts of rape of his wife, which led to grave consequences, and premeditated murder committed in order to conceal these criminal offenses, coupled with rape.

“Because of jealousy, the man constantly committed violent acts against his wife. Unable to bear the bullying, in July 2021 the woman wrote a statement to the police. Having learned the existence of a criminal proceeding, the attacker ambushed his wife, who was returning home from the guests, and threatening with a blade, ordered her to go to the kindergarten, where he raped and strangled her. Later, he hid in the attic of an abandoned building, where law enforcement officers found him.- the message says.

Local publications once wrote that the husband was very jealous of his wife. But the couple lived in a small village, where everything is in full view. His suspicions were unfounded.

Recall that recently in the Zhytomyr region a man wanted to kill two neighbors who made comments to him about an unsuccessfully parked car. He attacked them with a knife, the woman and her daughter-in-law ended up in intensive care. The sanction of the article incriminated to the attacker provides for punishment in the amount of ten to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
