In the Kyiv region, a sentence was announced for a man who raped a 68-year-old woman, after which he beat her to death.
Referring to the case file, the regional prosecutor’s office reported that a 33-year-old resident of the Obukhov district at the end of September 2021 contracted to carry out repairs in the victim’s house.
When discussing work issues, a verbal conflict arose between them, during which the convict hit the woman in the face and raped her. After that, he inflicted more than 35 punches and kicks on the victim, from which the latter died.
With the support of a public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Obukhov district prosecutor’s office, the court found the man guilty of rape and causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim (part 5 of article 152 and part 2 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Until the entry into force of the verdict, the accused will be in jail.
Recall that earlier a similar verdict was passed in the case of the double murder of two women in Lviv, which was committed by their lodger from the Cherkasy region.
