There are still many alcohol-related accidents in Poland. Some, however, give goosebumps. Such an event happened in Krasnystav: the father abandoned his little son and ran away.
The 31-year-old Volkswagen Polo driver lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with the Volkswagen Sharan driver. It turned out that a citizen of Ukraine did not have the right to drive a car, and in his body there were more than 3 ppm of alcohol. After the collision, he fled into the woods, leaving a 4-year-old child unattended in the car.
- After At 11:00, the Krasnystavo police officer on duty received a message about a traffic accident on Reyovetskaya Street in Krasnystave. According to preliminary data, a 31-year-old citizen of Ukraine, driving a Volkswagen Polo, lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with a 45-year-old Volkswagen Sharan driver. A citizen of Ukraine was transporting his 4-year-old son in a car, whom he left unattended after the incident and disappeared into the forest, reports Deputy Police Commissioner of Krassymstav Yolanta Babich.
The court has already decided
The police found that the 31-year-old man did not have a driver’s license, and a breathalyzer test showed that he had more than 3 ppm of alcohol in his system. Fortunately, none of the participants in the accident was injured.
The man was arrested and charged. The court will decide he was placed under police surveillance. He will be responsible for driving a vehicle and a traffic accident while intoxicated, as well as for creating a direct threat to life or health to a minor.
