Ukraine’s European partners have agreed on a common plan to speed up the delivery of our artillery shells. Its weight is 2 billion euros, and it provides for both immediate delivery and production of ammunition.
President Zelensky said this about the appeal following the results of the 390th day of the war.
“This is a strategic move. Something that gives confidence in our unity, in the invariability of the movement towards victory over the terrorist state. Thanks to all our partners in Europe! To all those who are really interested in Europe being strong and free”, - said the Ukrainian leader.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked President Biden, Congress, and all Americans for the new defense package from the United States, the amount of which is $350 million.
It included missiles for the Hymars, artillery and other ammunition - everything that is really needed to support our warriors.
The President of Ukraine also thanked the leaders of Austria and Ireland for joining the group of states that are preparing the creation of a special tribunal on Russian aggression against our country.
“The circle of partners willing to work together to punish Russia for its aggression is inevitably expanding. And makes the prospect of punishment more and more realistic. It is not enough to bring to justice the perpetrators of crimes born of aggression. It is also necessary to punish - completely just and legal - for the most original crime, which gave rise to all other crimes of this war. This will provide a special tribunal. Every day we bring its creation closer,” - Vladimir Zelensky is sure.
Recall that in January the European Parliament voted for a resolution in support of the creation of an international tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. On January 26, PACE supported a resolution calling for the creation of a special tribunal for the top political and military leadership of Russia and Belarus.
In early March, the Office of the President reported that the Baltic countries, Poland, Romania and Slovakia signed an initiative agreement on the creation of a special center for the crime of Russian aggression. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, 32 states have already joined the coalition to create a special tribunal for Russia.
At the same time, Western lawyers believe that it is not easy to prove the guilt of Vladimir Putin and his henchmen, and they call the indictment based on the crime of aggression, also known as the crime of aggressive war, the most promising.
