I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job. I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others. I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.

With the beginning of spring, summer residents begin preparing for the season - it’s time to deal with seedlings. It should be remembered that when planting seeds at home, you need to take care of the soil and sufficient lighting.

About what exactly should be started growing in March, said the experts of the World of Plants.

Tomatoes

Early hybrids and varieties have a hundred-day vegetation cycle (first shoots - first fruits). Seedlings should be planted in the soil on the 45-50th day. The first shoots appear in a week, subject to favorable conditions for the process. The first days of June are considered the most suitable for moving seedlings into the ground. Therefore, the crop should be sown in the last decade of March or in the first week of April.

eggplant

Such a culture is known for its rather complex growth. Particular attention should be paid to the quality of the material for sowing. A few minutes before moving the seeds into the soil, it is subjected to disinfection with hydrogen peroxide. The soil should be light and loose.

bell pepper

You should buy fresh seedlings, because the quality of the material for planting deteriorates noticeably over time. Pepper seedlings need to be grown at home.

Parsley

The growth of seeds of such a culture is most favorable in the temperature range from 1 to 5 degrees Celsius. The appearance of the first stairs occurs after 13-14 days. Parsley has excellent frost resistance, grows even with a large cover of snow. Sowing is done at a distance of 1 cm, then the culture is mulched.

Parsnip

Excellent resistance to cold, characterized by slow germination of seedlings - 20-25 days. The culture is not afraid of arid conditions, it can be planted in any soil.

Radish

The culture should be sown after the soil has completely warmed up to 3 degrees Celsius. This temperature range is often observed at the end of March. Grown plants can endure a temperature drop of up to -5 degrees Celsius, and seedlings - up to -3.

Peas

Seed germination occurs at a temperature of 1 degree Celsius. Excellent resistance to frost (up to -4 degrees Celsius). Groundwater should be monitored, the plant does not tolerate their high standing.

Onion

The culture germinates well in the temperature range from 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. The formation of the root system is best formed in cold weather, but when the threat of frost returns has passed.

It should be noted that soft water, in which there is no salt and impurities, is better suited for watering seedlings. Ideally - from a clean river or lake or melt water. You can also water with ordinary tap water, letting it stand in an open container for several days.
