Ukrainians who are abroad can not only obtain Ukrainian documents, but also marry or part on the territory of another state.
As you know, foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine can use the State Register of Civil Status of Citizens. This allows our citizens to enter into or dissolve marriages abroad, reminds visitukraine.today.
Amendments to the State Register of Civil Status Acts can be made by:
- Embassies of Ukraine in Georgia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Turkey, the Federal Republic of Germany;
- Consulates General of Ukraine in Krakow, Lublin, Wroclaw of the Republic of Poland, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main, Munich of the Federal Republic of Germany and Istanbul of the Republic of Turkey;
- Consulates of Ukraine in Gdansk of the Republic of Poland and Antalya of the Republic of Turkey.
An application for marriage can be submitted online using the Action portal. There you can choose the place, time, format and hall where the ceremony will take place.
For this you need:
- log in to the portal and go to the “Family” section;
- select the “Marriage Application” service, fill out the application and select the time and place of registration;
- pay the administrative fee and sign the application with an electronic signature.
The partner will also receive a link to the application by email. He must log in to the portal account, follow the link from the mail and sign the application with an electronic signature.
Further, DRACS will send a response and details of the ceremony by e-mail. You only need to show up at the department on your wedding day.
Recently, Ukrainians can apply for passport documents not only in Poland, but also in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
