In Ternopil, where they sold the dismantled monument to Soviet pilots and bought drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the proceeds, from the new year they decided to manually turn off the electricity in houses connected to power lines supplying boiler houses or hospitals. There are several hundred such buildings in the city.
The decision to disconnect such houses from the critical network was made by Ternopiloblenergo, the local TV channel T1 reported.
According to journalists, local power engineers have received a corresponding instruction from the national energy company Ukrenergo. The reason is the numerous complaints of other consumers about the unfair distribution of outages, they say, someone sits without electricity for several hours, but there is always electricity.
Electricians from service companies should be involved in the shutdown, but experts interviewed by journalists said that they have not yet received the relevant orders.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, Ternopil received many internally displaced persons from the east of the country, so the load on the power lines has increased significantly.
