In the village of Bolshaya Kosnitsa, a 23-year-old soldier Maxim Shvets was buried, who died as a result of artillery shelling near the village of Novoluganskoye, Donetsk region. He was the only son of his mother and did not have time to start his own family.
“How good his children would be … And how happy the young man’s mother would be with them. How can she survive the irreparable loss of her son, the only consolation and consolation … The color, the gene pool of the nation, is dying, - reports the local publication Yampolskiye Vesti
- Maxim knew how to stand up for himself, to prove his case. He loved sports very much, because he was preparing to enter a military university. Played volleyball and basketball well. Repeatedly fought for prizes in district, regional and all-Ukrainian competitions. And already as a student he became a player in the rugby team of the institution. After graduating from school, without hesitation, he chose the profession of a military man, because he did not see himself in another area. Entered and successfully graduated from the Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaydachny.
In the rank of lieutenant, upon graduation from June 20, 2020, under a contract, Maxim defended our land in the ATO zone for 9 months. He was the commander of an engineering platoon of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A2167. And with the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia into the territory of Ukraine, he defended the Kiev region, where he proved himself to be a skilled deminer, for which he was promoted to the rank of senior lieutenant. And then he defended our Motherland in the East. Responsible, fair, always close to his subordinates. This is how the commander will be remembered forever by his soldiers. In April 2022, Maxim Shvets was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnytsky III degree.
Mom Oksana was happy with her blood. And although she was very worried and worried about him, she always supported him in everything. And she prayed and asked God to save his child.
“Maxim was laconic, but always optimistic. He believed that victory would definitely be ours. Constantly consoled his mother. He tried to please and inspire hope. In each case, he called, asked: “How are you, how are you?” Every day he dropped SMS: “Everything is fine.” This is what she lived. From message to message. I rejoiced at very short calls and even more rare meetings … And I waited … But it didn’t happen … ”
After the service, the funeral procession to the church bells and the sad melody “Plivoe Kacha” went to the center of the village, and from there to the cemetery …
