Rockstar Games seems to be concerned about further leaks from GTA 6. The company has an interesting approach to the problem … and it hides its head in the sand like an ostrich.
Rockstar Games has significantly changed its communication strategy and disabled the ability to comment on company posts on social networks. This is due to the wave of interest in the Grand Theft Auto VI games prepared by the company. The title material was recently leaked online after a hacker attack.
Rockstar silenced fans after GTA 6 leak
In new Rockstar recordings, incl. Commenting has been disabled on Twitter. A function on the platform allows commenting only when an account is mentioned in a post with an “@” sign.
This means that the next developer posts will have lower reach, which is only created by post discussion. You can still like, share or retweet posts.
On the other hand, the company will avoid hackers and scammers who may try to use the latest leak to further spread classified information or use fan curiosity for evil purposes.
Giant leak from GTA 6
As we wrote on Wprost.pl, last Sunday on the forums related to the GTA series, a certain Teapotuberhacker casually started a new topic. There, he provided access to 90 different materials representing the work on the game Grand Theft Auto VI.
The video clips confirm many previous rumors. There is a woman in the materials who is likely to become one of the main characters in the game. The plot takes place in Vice City, an iconic location from the early parts of the GTA series. This is confirmed, including the graphics in public transport.
Other videos showcase smaller elements such as the mission or action of robbing a restaurant, shooting mechanics, or vehicle customization options. Bloomberg sources have confirmed that the materials are genuine and represent an earlier state of the game. You can read more about this case below.
