During a conversation with media representatives before the start of Wimbledon, the Belarusian made it clear what questions she wants to receive during the tournament.
“Before we start, I would like to say that I will not discuss politics. I’m here to talk about tennis. If you have any political questions, you can contact the WTA. They can send you transcripts of my conferences from previous tournaments,” Sobolenko said during a press conference.

Later, the Belarusian tennis player added that she was counting on the understanding of British fans and on the similar support that accompanied her performances in previous years.
