NHL legend, seven-time Stanley Cup winner with the Montreal Canadiens Jean-Guy Talbot has died at the age of 92, the official website of the National Hockey League reports. Legendary hockey player Bobby Hull has passed away.
The famous Canadian defender Talbot played for the Montreal club for 13 seasons and played more than 800 matches, participating in the All-Star Game seven times.
In the last years of his career, Talbot played for the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota North Star and Buffalo Sabers, playing a total of 1,066 games in the NHL regular season and 150 in the playoffs.
In the coaching field, the famous hockey player led the St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers.
Jean-Guy Talbot is survived by his wife Pierrette, three children, and many grandchildren and friends.
With Talbot’s death, only one of the 12 Montreal players who won the Stanley Cup five times in a row between 1956 and 1960 is still alive: Don Marshall.
