Andrzej Duda supports David Kubacki and his wife. So the Polish president turned to the jumper

Must read

On March 20, David Kubacki informed the world that he withdrew from Raw Air and the World Cup because his wife was fighting for her life in the hospital. One of those who deplore the plight of the jumper and his partner is Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland.

Since March 19, David Kubatsky has been going through a real drama. On that day, he had to withdraw from the last competition organized as part of Raw Air 2023, and a day later he announced that he would stop jumping in the 2022/23 season. He made such a decision due to serious health problems of his wife. The Polish representative quickly received many warm messages, including from the opponents he competes against on a daily basis. On the morning of March 21, Andrzej Duda also expressed his support.

For a long time nothing was known about the details of the situation. At first, Thomas Turnbichler only asked that the privacy of his ward be respected, which was also respected. Apolloniusz Tainer, in turn, said on TVP Sport that Kubacki has a chance to return to the hill at the end of the season. But he was wrong. Kubatsky clearly stated that he intended to look after his wife in the near future.

“My wife Marta was hospitalized for cardiological reasons, her condition is serious, doctors are fighting for her life. She is in good hands, she is a strong girl. I know she will fight,” the 33-year-old athlete explained on his social networks.

Under the entry of the jumper on Instagram, comments appeared in which everyone expressed solidarity with Kubatsky. He received words of support, among others, from Karl Geiger, Halvor Egner Granerud, Stefan Kraft, Robert Johansson, Johann Forfang, Peter Prevc, as well as from athletes practicing many other disciplines - Anna Kelbasinska, Iga Swiatek, Joanna Wološ and Piotr Nowakowski.

Andrzej Duda also expressed his regret over the plight of the representative of our country by posting on Twitter. “At this difficult moment, we are all with David Kubatsky and his family. We surround the whole family with good, kind thoughts, support and prayers for health. Dear Mr. David! For many years you have been always and reliably for Poland and for us. We are with the Lord,” reads the profile of the Polish president.
