Poland beat Albania 1-0 in their second match of Euro 2024 qualifiers. The only goal of the match was scored by Karol Swiderski. The attacker of the white-reds did not hide his pride in his achievement.
After a 1-3 away defeat to the Czech Republic, Fernando Santos was forced to react and put up a changed squad for the match against Albania. The stain we left in Prague has been partially erased. In our heads, only progress. This victory was a job that needed to be done, and we did it. This is a step forward. We have a new coach, so we need time, but we played well in the first half. The second one was great too, but it’s a pity that the ending was a bit nervous,” said Karol Swiderski in front of TVP Sport’s cameras.

The Polish striker was even more proud of the victory, as it took place in front of an almost full PGE Narodowy stands.
– We are very happy, this victory was important both for us and for the fans. The stadium is always full at the National Stadium, and if we played the way we played against the Czech Republic, so many fans might not come to the next match, - said Karol Swiderski.
