Behind the qualification for the second individual competition in Oslo as part of the Raw Air series. We will see five Poles in it. Only one performed less than expected. The winner was Halvor Egner Granerud.

Yesterday’s individual ski jumping competition in Oslo as part of the Raw Air cycle was not the best performance of the Poles. The first place was taken by Anze Laniszek, and the best of the Poles was David Kubacki, who took 9th place. Kamil Stoch was 13th and Piotr Zyla 29th. Pawel Vansec, Alexander Zniszol and Jakub Wolny did not qualify for the second round. Who will we see in today’s contest?

Alexander Znishhol failed the qualification

According to the overall World Cup standings, the first Pole to appear on the balance beam at Holmenkolbakken was Jakub Wolny, who made a decent jump at a distance of 120 m. It became clear that she could forget about performing in the main competitions. Immediately after the 28-year-old, Pavel Vossek appeared on the beam. The 23-year-old performed much better than his predecessor as he reached 121m, which gave him 9th place at the time.

The conditions on the hill were changeable, although in most cases decent and certainly better than during the first competition. Norway has been in the lead for a long time. Sondre Ringen, who landed at 131 m, was followed by Maximilian Steiner, who reached 129.5 m. The performance of record holder Robert Johansson was interesting, as he was close to having an accident in training before the first competition. The Norwegian jumped 125.5 m, which brought him 4th place and a definite promotion.

Kamil Stoch’s big jump

Markus Eisenbichler, who was already second and third in Oslo, failed in yesterday’s competition. His form so far leaves much to be desired, because in qualifying he reached 111 m. After the German, Kamil Stoch appeared on the balance beam, to whom fate smiled. The Pole showed great speed on the doorstep, then jumped 129.5m to finish second behind Sondre Ringen, who was still in the lead. Only Timi Seitz, who was half a meter shorter than the 35-year-old from Ząb, replaced the Norwegian in the lead.

Peter Zhyla was the greatest unknown. His form left a lot to be desired, but he qualified well with a 120m landing. Stefan Kraft showed great style and not too much wind. A distance of 127.5 m brought him second place. The winner of the first competition in Oslo and the leader of the Raw Air series, Anze Laniszek, this time jumped a little weaker than in previous attempts, as he reached 124m. David Kubacki jumped a meter further and took ninth place. The qualification was closed by Halvor Egner Granerud, who overthrew Timi Zajc in the 131m jump and won.

  • 10. David Kubacki,

  • 23. Peter Zhila,
