Since March 1, pension payments of more than 10 million pensioners have been indexed in Ukraine, but two categories of citizens whose pensions will be indexed in the coming months. Yes, in April they plan to increase payments to working pensioners, and in July - to civil servants and scientists.
According to the publication “On Pension”, pensions assigned in accordance with the Laws “On Public Service”, “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies”, “On the Status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine” and “On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities” will be increased in summer by 19.7 percent.
According to independent consultant Sergei Korobkin, only the basic pension will be increased without taking into account all kinds of supplements.
The expert draws attention to the fact that since the increase in such pensions was frozen long ago, many pensioners from this category were subsequently forced to switch to regular old-age pensions. If appropriate, such pensioners will be able to switch from regular pensions back to special ones.
Earlier, the government stated that the minimum increase would be UAH 100, and the maximum would be UAH 1,500. The average increase should be 400-700 hryvnia. And for those who retired in 2020-2022, they will simply add 100 hryvnias to their pensions.
