In the updated FIFA ranking, the Polish team has risen by as much as 6 positions. What does the top ten of this list look like?
Poland’s victory over Saudi Arabia gave our players not only valuable three points and hope to fight for qualification from the World Cup group. The important win also lifted the Poles up the FIFA rankings. Although it may seem surprising to the fans, our country has just entered the group of 20 best teams in the world.
Promotion of Poland in the FIFA rankings
After a 0-0 draw with Mexico and a 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia, Poland tops the table in Group C. However, the White-Reds face a big challenge, as in the last match they will face the team of Argentina, in which Lionel Messi still poses a threat. However, before our defense is tested by one of the best players in history, we can enjoy a boost in the FIFA rankings for a moment.
In the latest ranking, Poland ranked 20th. So we close the second ten of the best teams in the world. We did it by beating Saudi Arabia. Earlier, after a draw with Mexico, we moved up two positions, from 26th to 24th.
FIFA rating. Poland is better than Serbia and Iran
Poland turned out to be better, i.e. from Serbia, Sweden, Iran or Peru. Morocco, Colombia and Senegal are still ahead of us. Brazil remains at the top of the table, joined by France after their victory in Qatar. Belgium, which is not doing very well at the World Cup, lost. The fourth place in the ranking is occupied by Argentina, which shows the scale of the task facing our representatives.
