On December 14, at a session of the Lviv City Council, deputies from the European Solidarity, Samopomich and Golos factions are going to give up a plot of land in the city center for hotel development without an auction, contrary to the demands of local residents. This is evidenced by their comments and attempts to avoid this topic when communicating with journalists from the “Great Lviv Speaks” channel.
It is noted that we are talking about a land plot of 18 acres, on which the local community wants to get modern parking, which is critically lacking in the center of Lviv. Therefore, residents in the courts of two instances have already proven the illegality of the changes in the general plan made by the mayor’s office in order to sell this land for development. Despite this, this issue is still being discussed at the City Council session, although in the future this decision may be considered illegal.
Separately, local residents are outraged by the fact that the sales will take place without an auction, and this is a guarantee of a reduced price. According to real estate experts, this plot of land in the city center costs from UAH 10 million, and at auction the price can only increase.
Local residents, together with the military, appealed to deputies of the Lviv City Council with a demand to hold an auction, because the money from the sale can be used to purchase at least 500 FPV drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
NABU may draw the attention of this situation separately. The sale of land without an auction by the city authorities agrees to Atelier LLC, which is associated with friends of the mayor of Lvov Sadovoy. We are talking about one of the founders of the iFest holding, Nazar Kupibid, and the owner of Galneftegaz, Vitaly Antonov. This is not the first case of possible abuses by the city authorities of Lvov in favor of persons associated with Mayor Sadov, the media writes.
