Shortly after four representatives of the Opposition Platform for Life were deprived of Ukrainian citizenship by a presidential decree, they also lost their parliamentary mandates.
This was announced by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak. However, according to him, this happened after heated discussions about the future fate of Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach and Rinat Kuzmin
“At first, there was a discussion for 40 minutes when to put on the agenda the issue of depriving 5 deputies of their mandates (the fifth is Andrey Aksyonov, who drew up the mandate of his own free will. - Aut). The coalition’s proposal was to consider it at the end of the agenda (because they didn’t have enough votes for anything). Proposal of other factions and groups: start the day by removing the mandates of these deputies. After 3 votes and blocking the tribune, the position of the second won … immediately put the deprivation of deputies of mandates ”he noted.
In particular, 320 people’s deputies voted for depriving Viktor Medvedchuk of his mandate.

Recall that last fall, a deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life Vadim Rabinovich and a people’s deputy from the Servant of the People Igor Vasilkovsky lost their mandates due to the deprivation of their citizenship.
