If you’re a fan of classic vampire stories, then the last weeks and months must have been amazing. Ahead of the recent theatrical release Nicolas Cage- vampire comedy, Renfield, another horror classic will appear. It turned out that the director Robert Eggerslong-awaited reimagining of the film Nosferatu completed filming.
With wrapped shots Nosferatu will offer a different perspective on the well-known history of vampires. Original 1922 film directed by FV Murnau based on other creative work - Bram Stoker1897 cult novel, Dracula. Inspired by German Expressionism, the silent film has become an influential masterpiece of cinema and the horror genre. In 1979 Werner Herzog remade a movie with the same name, Nosferatu Vampire. Considering his previous work in Witch And NorthernerEggers’ knowledge of folklore and mythology will make him the latest in a line of creative people seeking to give a different meaning to their beloved classics.
A remake of the legendary horror film of the time, created by Eggers. Nosferatu will be set in the 1800s, telling a gothic tale of possession, love, seduction, and fear. A story about a young woman from Germany in the 19th century, who is pursued by a vampire, bringing indescribable horror. Arriving at the castle of Count Orlok (aka “Dracula”), Thomas Hutter, who is there to help the Count purchase a nearby property, soon begins to suspect that the man he is working with may be a vampire. Before Hutter can part ways with the Count, Orlok sees a picture of his wife Ellen and a dangerous and seemingly deadly attraction grows inside him.

After his brilliant villainous performance in the latest issue John Wick franchise, Bill Skarsgard will play the infamous Transylvanian vampire Count Orlok. IdolX Lily Rose Depp will become the object of his affection, playing Ellen Hutter. Hot on the trail of the lead role in Renfield as Dracula’s titular lackey, Nicholas Hoult is also on board to portray Ellen’s husband and Orlok’s real estate agent.
Speaking of returning to the vampire world so soon, Holt said, “Honestly, I had no intention of returning to the vampire world again. But his style [Eggers] and the tone is the exact opposite of this film and I’m such a fan of his work that I’m glad to be in his world and watch him and learn from him. I think the film can be really special, so I’m glad people will see it.” Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart von Franz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson like Friedrich Harding, Emma Corrin like Anna Harding, Simon McBurney like Herr Knock, and Ralph Ineson as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers.
