The long-awaited sequel from Paramount. Ridley Scott box office phenomenon Gladiator has already amassed an impressive cast, and Deadline revealed that the project is completing its list of submissions with Fred Hechinger, May Kalamawi, Lior Raz, Derek Jacoby, Peter Mensah And Matt Lucas.
Although details about most of these players remain scarce, Deadline reported that Hechinger is in talks to portray Emperor Geta. This role was originally intended to be played Barry Keoghan, but now Deadline has reported that Keogen was forced out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Geta was an actual Roman emperor in the early 3rd century, although it is unclear how closely the future film will follow the historical accounts of his life.
