Seemingly killed by Ghostface after he breaks into their apartment building, Quinn is revealed to be alive as she unmasks herself as one of the killers during the finale. Upon reaching his apartment, Jason begins to suspect that the caller is not really Greg. Forced to play a game with this new man, Jason discovers Greg’s body in their refrigerator before another Ghostface appears behind him and stabs him several times in the stomach, revealing a hint of intestines. Bleeding out on the floor, Jason asks his killer, “What about a movie?” before Ghostface sways one last time, saying, “Who cares about movies.” A phrase that is destined to be highly quoted among horror fans as it leads to the franchise’s legendary title drop.

Commenting that she never really opened up to him, she reveals the events of the previous film that she is the daughter of notorious serial killer Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich), and that she loved what it was like to end Richie’s life. Clearly disturbed by this revelation, Stone quickly ends their arrangement.
Dr. Stone’s fate is sealed after Sam uses him as an alibi for Jason’s murder and Ghostface calls the doctor to his house. Begging the staff and customers for help, Ghostface soon enters and stabs an aggressive patron in the stomach and another in the neck. The man behind the counter grabs a shotgun and shoots at the assassin, but he misses, and Ghostface soon disarms and shoots him with his own weapon. When he tries to kill the Carpenter sisters during the finale, Sam stabs him viciously over and over again. This is followed by another attack from Tara, who puts a knife in his mouth and spins it. Unable to stay dead, Ethan attacks the Carpenters one last time before Scream 4Survivor Kirby (Hayden Panettiere) throws a TV at his head, ending Ethan for good.
