Second season of Disney+ The Mandalorian sees its own capital character (Pedro Pascal) is looking for more people of the Child so that the child can reunite with his own kind. To do this, the Mandalorian (also known as Din Djarin or simply “Mando”) seeks the help of Gor Koresh (voiced by John Leguizamo) in search of more Mandalorians to help Mando on his quest. Gor Koresh turns the tables on Mando in an attempt to kill him for his Beskar armor, but Mando gets the better of him and learns that another Mandalorian has been sighted on Tatooine. There Mando reunites with Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris), whose droid helps guide Mando towards the city, where another Mandalorian has been spotted.

The city of Mos Pelgo is commanded by Cobb Vant (Timothy Olyphant) who wears green Beskar armor despite not being a Mandalorian. He claims to have bought it from Jawa to protect his city. Vant agrees to hand over the armor if Mando helps the city kill the Krayt Dragon that is eating the city’s livestock. Using the Bantu as bait and brokering a truce between the townspeople and the Tusken Raiders, Mando helps kill the beast and win the armor.

Back at Peli Motto, the insectoid Doctor Mandibula informs Mando that he has a contact who is said to know other Mandalorians. To find out more, Mando takes it upon himself to take the Frog Lady and her eggs to Trask, where her husband will impregnate them and tell him more about the Mandalorian sightings. Frog Lady uses a severed head Q9-0 (Richard Ayoade) to translate for Mando. The child eats some of the eggs himself, upsetting everyone, and after a menacing attack by intergalactic arachnids, Mando’s damaged ship eventually makes it to Trask.

On Trask, the Frog Lady is reunited with her husband, who directs Mando to an inn. There, a sea captain offers to take Mando and the Child to the Mandalorians. However, at sea, he throws them both into a cage with Mamakor, a Kraken-like creature. The Captain seeks to kill Mando for his armor, but the Mandalorians show up, saving Mando and the Child. These Mandalorians are led by Bo-Katan (played by Katie Sackhoffreprising his role from Star Wars: The Clone Wars And Star Wars Rebels first time in live action). However, when Bo-Katan, Ax (Simon Cassianides), and Koska (Mercedes Varnado) remove their helmets, Mando does not want to trust them, as it is against his customs. Bo-Katan tells him that he is a child of the Watch, a group of zealots who adhere to the ancient ways of Mandalore, and that most Mandalorians no longer do so. As a result, Mando refuses their help.

Bo-Katan then offers Mando the information he seeks in exchange for his help raiding an Imperial ship in their fight to reclaim Mandalore. He agrees, leaving the Baby with the Frog Lady. They battle the stormtroopers as Bo-Katan searches for the Darksaber, a weapon stolen from her by the empire. Mando boldly charges at several stormtroopers to allow the Mandalorians to take control of the ship, and fearing loss, Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) coldly orders his men to sacrifice the ship, killing everyone. However, the Mandalorians are victorious and Bo-Katan offers Mando a place on his team. Instead, Mando decides to continue on his journey, now with information about a Jedi on Corvus named Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson).

Ahsoka is a student of Anakin Skywalker from clone warsfans were eagerly waiting for her appearance, however, the show went on a detour to reunite Mando and the child with the favorite of the first season Gref Karga (Carl Weathers) and Kara Dune (Gina Carano). They have since cleared Nevarro and offer to repair Mando’s ship in exchange for his help in destroying the Imperial base. As they fight the stormtroopers, the Child is placed in a school and uses the Force to steal macaroons from the other children. At the Imperial base, Mando discovers that they have been taking blood from the Child due to its high levels of midi-chlorian (which makes it Force-sensitive) and transfusing it into test subjects.

After another successful mission, Mando retrieves the Child and the two of them head towards Corvus in their newly restored ship. The ship, however, has been fitted with a tracking device, and Moff Gideon is preparing his army of Dark Troopers to take on Mando shortly.

On Corvus, the city of Calodane is ruled by Imperial Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto). She is confronted by none other than the Jedi Ahsoka Tano, who gives her one day to surrender and tell Ahsoka the location of her master, Thrawn ( star Wars character with several novels about his story that have yet to appear in live action). When Mando and the Child arrive, Elsbeth offers Mando a beskar spear in exchange for killing Ahsoka. However, when he finds Ahsoka, she communicates with the Child through the Force and informs Mando that the Child’s name is Grogu. Ahsoka refuses to train Grog herself, fearing the fear and anger Grog suffered during his time with Mando. However, she reveals that Grogu grew up in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and suppressed his powers after the fall of the Jedi Order in order to survive.

After teaming up with Ahsoka to storm the city of Calodan, Ahsoka tells Mando that Grog’s best hope of contacting the remaining Jedi is to travel to the ruins of the Jedi Temple on Tython and use force. Ahsoka hands Mando the Beskar Spear and they part ways. Ahsoka roams the galaxy in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn (who will be the subject of her own Disney+ show), while Mando and Grog make their way to the ruins of a temple on Tython. There they are confronted by none other than Boba Fett (Temur Morrison reprising his role from the prequel trilogy). He and his mercenary Fenech Shand (Ming-Na Wen who voiced the character in bad batch too) demand to hand over Fett’s armor, which Mando acquired from Vant. Mando agrees in exchange for Fett and Shand’s help in protecting Grog.

The Empire attacks while tracking Mando’s ship, and Fett and Shand help Mando protect Grog when he attempts to contact the Jedi. Mando returns the armor to Fett, but Moff Gideon’s ship appears overhead and blows up Mando’s ship. The four Dark Soldiers are released, Grog is captured and taken away. Mando calls on Boba Fett and Fennec Shand to fulfill his end of the bargain by helping him get Grog back, and they agree. Grogu is stunned and bound by the Empire, and Moff Gideon reveals that he has the Bo-Katana Dark Sword. Moff Gideon is impressed with Grog’s use of the Force against stormtroopers and excitedly informs his doctor about it (Omid Abtahi) that Grogu would be an acceptable donor.

Mando asks Cara Dune to negotiate with prisoner Migs Mayfield (Bill Burrfavorite of the first season) will be transferred to her custody. Mando demands that ex-Imperial soldier Mayfield keep an eye on Moff Gideon. Mayfield helps Mando hijack a Morak ridonium refinery transport, and they disguise themselves as Imperial soldiers. The terminal requires a face scan, but Mayfield is afraid that Valin Hess will recognize him (Richard Colin Break), so Mando is forced to break his oath to adhere to the “Way of the Mandalorian” and remove his helmet. He does this by proving his commitment to saving Grog. Mayfield, however, can’t help but shoot Hess when the latter brushes off the tragic loss of Mayfield’s friends in the first season and a shootout ensues.

The two run to the roof, where they board Boba Fett’s ship. Dune and Shand fire at their enemies and Mayfield delivers a sniper shot that sets the refinery on fire. With the codes in hand, Mando delivers a threatening message to Moff Gideon. They soon capture Dr. Gideon and learn of the Imperial cruiser’s defenses. They are joined by other Mandalorians, with Bo-Katan and Boba Fett particularly bickering over their views on Mandalorian values.

An unexpected hero returns to save them.

Eventually, Mando uses his Beskar spear to cut through his enemies and find Gideon guarding Grog. After defeating Gideon, he holds him hostage and Gideon attempts to goad Bo-Katan into killing Mando and recovering her Darksaber, as his defeat of Gideon makes him its rightful owner. She resists the temptation, however, and the group appears trapped and uncrewed as the Dark Soldiers begin to surround them, closing in. That is, until a mysterious X-wing arrives on a cruiser, and the hooded Jedi effortlessly makes his way to Grog. . Gideon takes the hidden blaster and fires at the Bo-Katan before Mando takes another bullet to save Grog. Gideon then tries to kill himself, but Kara disarms him.

Mando opens the door to the mysterious Jedi. This is Luke SkywalkerMark Hamill)! Luke offers to take Grog and train him, and Mando removes his helmet to allow Grog to properly tearfully say goodbye. Luke, Grogu, and R2-D2 leave together, ending the second season. The Mandalorian and the story of Mando and Grog… at least you think so.

The story continues in the subsequent first season of the Disney+ spin-off. Boba Fett book. At the beginning of the fifth episode of the series (until this point, neither Mando nor Grog have been featured), Mando goes about his business as a bounty hunter. In an adventure seemingly unrelated to the main plot of the series, Mando finds two Mandalorian warriors whom he asks to transform his Beskar spear into a mail tunic, as well as inspect his newly acquired Darksaber. They explain that whoever wins the Darksaber in combat has the right to rule Mandalore, but when Mando confesses that he took off his helmet, the tribe turns their backs on Mando. Mando then returns to Tatooine, where he and Peli Motto repair an old starfighter to replace the ship destroyed by Moff Gideon.

Finally tying this new Mando adventure into the main story of the show, Fenech Shand shows up to ask for Mando’s help in Boba Fett’s next battle. Mando agrees, but first he needs to complete some assignments. From there, he visits a forest planet where he speaks with Ahsoka Tano and R2-D2. Ahsoka warns that Mando’s presence will prevent Luke from teaching Grog. So Mando asks Ahsoka to deliver the mail tunic to Grog on his behalf. Mando then returns to recruit Cobb Want to join Boba Fett’s cause in the upcoming war, but after Mando leaves Cad Bane (another clone wars graduate) shoots Vant and his deputy.

Where did we last see our heroes?

Meanwhile, Luke gives Grog a choice: take Yoda’s lightsaber and continue his Jedi training, or take the mail tunic and return to Mando. When Grogu takes the tunic, R2-D2 sends him to Tatooine, where he assists in combat with his Force abilities. Just like the characters Boba Fett book characters helped The Mandalorian during their final climax, the service returns in the climax of this show. We leave Boba Fett as the leader of the territory originally ruled by Jabba the Hutt, while Cobb Vant heals in a tank of bacta. Just in time for the third season of their own show, Mando and Grog are back together in their newly restored N-1 fighter jet, ready to continue their own adventures once again.
