Since it was announced that the final season Star Trek: Picard will include the return of the full ensemble New generation, fans were looking forward to the premiere of the show. Now in the latest release finished roomaftershow for everything Star Trek franchise organized Wil WheatonParamount has released a new video from season 3.
The scene starts in the same scene as one of the first teases for Picard Season 3 ended, with Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is sitting in his office at Picard Castle writing a letter to an old friend. As he writes, Picard suddenly hears the chirping of what many fans recognize as the TNG-era communicator icon. The scene continues as he tracks down the pushy badge and finds it hidden in a box containing his old Enterprise captain uniform.
When Picard finds the icon, he contacts his home computer to find out why the old device is behaving this way. In a playful altercation, it is revealed that a compressed message has been sent to the communicator icon that requires a secret password. The scene cuts out before we can watch Picard trying to figure out the cryptic message, but given what we already know about Season 3, it’s very likely that it’s Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) distress signal. With these bits of information, fans have already begun speculating about what the password might be, noting everything from Picard and Crusher’s shared breakfast of champions, coffee and croissants to the ship he served on with her late husband, Stargazer.
Who’s in Star Trek: Picard Season 3?
With Stuart and McFadden, season 3 Star Trek: Picard set to return many familiar faces. From the cast of The Next Generation, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Levar Burton, Michael Dornand Brent Spiner everyone returns to reprise their roles, with Spiner bringing back Data’s evil twin Lore. The trailer, which debuted earlier this year, also featured the return of Daniel DavisMoriarty, a holodeck character who gained sentience and his own freedom in a classic TNG episode. The show also featured Mika Burton and Ashley Sharp Chestnut as Geordie’s daughter. The new season will also feature a Tony Award winner. Amanda Plummer like a big bad season. Picard alum Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd will also reprise their roles from the first two seasons.
